Today we laid my beloved mother to rest

Today we laid my beloved mother to rest. It was a long week, and while the funeral is over, the road ahead is going to be long and for a while, very painful. I am grateful to all the people who have been there for me and my family this past week, and to the individuals and organisations that ensured that my mom is given a dignified send off. I am eternally grateful.
I am going to deactivate my Facebook account for a month or two. I would like to request that I am given some space during that time. I don’t doubt that many people care and want to be there for me, but I need this for myself.
Thank you all. I will miss you – but I will be back.

Hey John… I saw you walk in with your blue scarf as promised yesterday and I thought I will catch up with you as we were leaving for the graveyard, but it was never to be. I believe Dipuo was happy with just you showing up. Hope you traveled safe from there…
